SOUP COLLECTING FOR FUN AND PROFIT

Never forget that you can do things with a slice of lemon, a spoonful of olive oil, and a courgette that will leave the family helpless with laughter, but you could get arrested. A radish lightly grated into a glass of Guinness, providing an interesting aperitif, particularly before a dish of Mexican food - but don't stand near any naked flames for at least forty-eight hours afterwards.

HOW TO EAT WELL ON FOUR POUNDS A WEEK

Living straitened circumstances does not mean you must have a bland or uninteresting diet. Think of the dishes you could prepare from the materials, vegetables and plants that are all around you in every day life:

Privet Mousse

Tadpole Meunere

Rat de Poivre

Wellington Wellington

Risotto de UB40

Escalopes de Ginger Tom en Papillotes

Croquettes de Chickweed

Ouefs Sparrow Fines Herbes

Champignons Mur Humide

And probably the piece de la resistance:

Hearing Aids in Chocolate.
